A soft opening was held for the very first total-immersion ECE school ‘Te Punanga Reo.’ The school based at Pa Ariki’s Palace will teach toddlers and preschoolers completely in the Cook Islands Maori language.
Te Punanga Reo can be regarded as a collaboration. It has been established under Te Wananga Whare Tapere o Takitimu i Aotearoa but it is being driven locally by a group of passionate parents who want to see our children fluent in the Cook Islands Maori language.
The school opened today with it’s first 3 students (see pictures).
The school does have a waiting list but it still needs financial help so that it can be properly resourced. Do contact them if you can help.
